Tactically, you formulate the facts with a persuasive narrative to convince the jury to return a favorable verdict for your client. A third generation Alexandrian, Jim Clark attended T.C. Williams High School, Bridgewater College and University of Richmond Law School. After law school he served as an assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Alexandria for two years then, with Carter Land, founded the firm that is now Land, Carroll and Blair. Since 2012 he has served as a judge for the 18th Judicial Circuit. Married to Mary, they raised their daughter Allie and son Trav and presently reside in Alexandria with their beloved dogs Doc and Blue.

Drew is a native Alexandrian graduating from University of Notre Dame in 1974 (BA Govt) and the University of Richmond Law School, J.D. in 1977.  Was associate with Pickett Spain & Lyle in Virginia Beach from 1977 to 1979.  Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney in Alexandria from 1979 to 1983, heading the Vice Narcotics Section for two years.  In 1983 he joined Carter Land and Jim Clark in Land Clark & Carroll which is now Land Carroll & Blair.  Practiced civil and criminal litigation entire career. Member of Virginia State Bar (former Board Member of VSB Young Lawyers Conference), Alexandria Bar Association, Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and has been Board Member of the Virginia Capital Representation Resource Center for eight years.  Inducted as a Fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation in 2020.  Community involvement includes Chairmanship of the Alexandria YMCA; Board Member Metropolitan YMCA, President of Alexandria Rotary Club, Board Member of Center of Alexandria’s Children; Youth Sports coaching soccer, basketball, and baseball teams, while also serving as President of Alexandria Little League. Married to wife Cherie raising two boys, Andrew and Tommy.
