The Department of Juvenile Justice has embarked on a transformation of practices over the past several years in order to improve its system and better serve the community, families and youth.  Among those are the increase or enhancement of objective decision making tools – reforms which are designed to decrease justice-by-geography and racial & ethnic disparities.  It will be of benefit to hear about these efforts – the Standardized Disposition Matrix, in particular.
