Presenter: Clarissa Pintado

Clarissa Pintado, Esq. is the Chair of the Alexandria Lawyer Well-Being Committee.  In addition to leading the Committee she is an active volunteer with Lawyers Helping Lawyers.  Ms. Pintado currently serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Alexandria Bar Association and as President of the Foundation of the Alexandria Bar Association.  She is also an active member of the Board of the Alexandria Boys and Girls Club.  Ms. Pintado represents individuals and corporations in estate and business litigation as an Associate Attorney with the Fiske Law Group, PLLC.  She has experience in federal and state courts in addition to international arbitration forums including the International Chamber of Commerce.  Ms. Pintado joined the Fiske Law Group after a judicial clerkship for the 18th Judicial Circuit of Virginia for the Alexandria Circuit Court serving Hon. Judges Lisa Bondareff Kemler; Nolan Dawkins, and James Clark.  She previously worked for the Public International Law & Policy Group implementing constitution drafting and peace negotiation programs in the Middle East and East Africa.


Presenter: Brenda Wade
Brenda Wade, MSW, CSSW, LCSW-C is a social worker, therapist, trainer, educator and author.  Ms. Wade is presenting to the Alexandria Bar Association as part of the City of Alexandria-INOVA Global Learning Solutions partnership.  Ms. Wade completed her undergraduate degree in business management at the University of Maryland.  She received her Master’s degree in social work from Howard University in Washington, DC.  Ms. Wade then completed a post-graduate, clinical social work fellowship in child psychiatry, specializing in schools, children and families at the Yale University School of Medicine, Child Study Center.  Ms. Wade began her social work career, providing clinical services to students in the Baltimore City Public School System and possesses over 19 years of experience working with children, adolescents, families, providing direct and indirect intervention services and training seminars.  In 2006, Ms. Wade founded and became the president and executive director of Achievement Services, a nonprofit organization, which provided educational services and programs to schools, organizations and associations.  She is adjunct professor in the graduate program at the Morgan State University School of Social Work.  Ms. Wade is the President and CEO of M&M Education Assessments, LLC and is in the process of completing her third fictional novel, Charm Town Revelations, the final installment of the Charm Town Series, a murder mystery set in an urban school district.
